if you could have a gps dog collar what features would you want?
lisa, your animal should be chipped by your vet. The chip is a literally a micro-chip given as a shot under the skin and will ID your dog should anyone find him. At any vet’s office with a scanning wand, or the humane socity, or other shelters, it’ll tell what the ID # is and they’ll be able to contact you so you can get your dog back. A collar can be removed and trashed and the dog forever lost to you without a chip.
Not sure if the question is if referance to ‘human’ gps or ‘animal’ gps, I’m assuming it’s for the pet though.
They make tracking collars for dogs already. Since it’s in its infancy stages at the moment, it’s rather bulky and is usually only worn while walking, or other instances where the animal could run away.
I wouldn’t one on me under normal conditions. The house isn’t so large that I could get lost, and how would you explain to your boss that you’re home sick when in reality, your at the sportsbar having a few rounds with the buds?
