Is the cigarette lighter in an older car (1987 Grand Marquis) same as the port used to charge the GPS/ USB etc?
I tried connecting my GPS charging plug to the 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis cigarette lighter. It did not turn on. Is the cigarette lighter port on the car same as the GPS charging port on the newer cars ?.
If its not the same ? How do i convert the cig lighter port into something which i can charge my GPS with ?
It is the same.
… But since it’s an old car, maybe the cigarette lighter socket no longer works.
