handheld gps
Need info on buying a handheld GPS which is applicable for aviation and find my way in the woods …
I verified Garmin, Lowrance, and Magellan. AirMap the Lowrance 600c is the closest for aviation, and price range, but I could not get good news for terrestrial use, even if it takes place, for this particular model. I also extract the Garmin 96c. The Lowrance seems to get more for less. Could never cross the line Lowrance telephone to talk to a real person. As a student pilot GA, I am interested in a handheld model that could serve me in the air, as well as if I had to ditch in a strange place, like a forest, etc., and lived to walk my way! I try only to find a model that has the best of both applications. You want to stay within the 300 to 500. dollar range. Can be flexible in the $ 100 more if necessary. Suggestions?
I went looking for a gps for aviation fair this afternoon, I decided to AirMap 600c, but must the order from the United States because there is no distributor in Hong Kong.
