magellan gps systems for cars
10 points! GPS Problems?
I bought a gps for my car, a Magellan Roadmate 1200. It has pre-programmed number cards in it. When I was asked to enter my home address, I was shocked to discover that it accepts not to exist. Am I entering the wrong? Is there a way to input addresses in a GPS? Do I need latitude / longitude? I live in Union Square, Nova Scotia, Canada, just outside New Germany. It's kind of … in the woods, haha. Maybe it's just not programmed? I can edit more details on the issue, if someone wants them. I'll give someone 10 points if they can not fully help me understand. Help?
You can go to the Magellan website for help. There are 12-14 GPS satellites and there are still 2 in a given field. Check the RM by setting an address you want to go. If it works, it could be you do not enter your address correctly or something wrong with the unit. I never put in latitude / longitude and I had 3 different Magellan. Make sure you save it, you'll get free updates. Website below:
