palm gps
I have a Palm Treo 650. How can I get GPS?
I have seen other posts, but over 2 years. I saw the Tom Tom put up on ebay but I have heard bad reviews. Can I just buy a bluetooth gps receiver and mapping software or do I stay with some of those? Also, I want one that is current and has good tracking capabilities. 1. What can I use? 2. Where can I find it? 3. Get a good treatment for your great answers.
I highly recommend going with a standalone GPS receiver, do not add navigation software to your phone. If you had a Treo 800, 755, 700, or a Palm Centro, I recommend a piece of software. However, working in technical support for the same company that manufactures the product, I recommend the Treo 650 can be a nightmare for the navigation software because of its low amount of memory available. If you go to one of the models above, it would be another story. You could just buy a phone with a gps or the purchase of a Bluetooth receiver externally. If you use an external GPS, I recommend purchasing the equipment of the same company providing the software. Examples of these units are Garmin Mobile 10, (Which includes Garmin "GPS 10x") or TomTom Navigator 5 (which includes TomTom "GPS Bluetooth Receiver.") I recommend to find these on Amazon.com. For now, I suggest going with a GPS autonomous vehicles.
