GPS connection program on the computer?
I have a Garmin GPS 72 that I need to connect to my laptop. I have a serial port adapter cable (not Garmin) to USB, and the need for a program for the laptop to recognize the USB standard. Thank you for any help anyone can offer. Sirdice thank you but it does not! HELP If I plug the GPS in the converter does not recognize the "add new hardware and I have another port on my laptop.
If you have a serial to USB, just plug it in. The OS takes care of the rest. It automatically detects the serial port.
